Today we are interviewing Heather who is currently living in North Carolina. She’s a wife and mom and passionately pursuing the more of God. Her and her husband love the prophetic and hearing and feeling God’s heart for those around them and releasing it.
What was it like returning to “normal life” after your DTS? What were struggles? How did you overcome them?
It was a bit difficult coming out of the YWAM “bubble”. Thankfully I had a strong family and community and Holy Spirit was ever close to me coming back home.
What do you wish you know now that you didn’t know upon returning home after your time with YWAM?
I wish I had known that it would be important to go through inner healing. That my relationship with God would withstand so much and that He is so faithful and kind, and good! I wish I had strong leadership in YWAM but instead God showed up for me so powerfully. I wished instead of being upset about it, I embraced the process more. I’m thankful that I pressed into God like never before and that He’s my everything!
Of those you ran with in your YWAM time, what are they up to and how are they doing?
Some aren’t walking with God much anymore, some have been hurt deeply, and some are continuing to walk beautifully with the Lord. I haven’t stayed in contact with a lot of them. But I try to encourage different ones as the Lord leads.
What did you get at your DTS that has followed you and informed your day-to-day life?
I was filled with the Holy Spirit at a church service in Australia, I went deeper with Jesus, learned how to hear God’s voice, and I fell in love with the word of God. I’ll always be so grateful and thankful to God and YWAM for that! 😊
What things are bringing you the most joy in your friendship with Jesus?
His humor, my ability to be vulnerable and real with Him always, Him continuing to entrust me with the more and the mysteries of the Kingdom, and how He’s fun and never boring! I love how real Jesus is to me and with me. His enduring and unfailing love and joy fill and follow me daily and have gotten me through many valleys of the shadow of death!
In what ways have you been able to make God known there in your own sphere?
I enjoy prophesying over people that Holy Spirit highlights to me. I love being a safe place for women to be real and to encourage them to go deeper in God. Also I like doing inner healing with people and seeing them know their identity and purpose and destiny in the Father. Also, most importantly I have the honor of introducing my daughter to Jesus, Father, and Holy Spirit! She’s 6 and has had incredible encounters with Jesus, hears Holy Spirit, and has prophetic dreams. She and my husband are my main ministry and we are all passionately seeking Jesus together.
What are you passionate about? What things have you been stirred to engage in? What are you praying into right now?
I’m passionate about women being healed, knowing their identity, purpose and destiny, and going after everything God has for us to experience here in our earth suit! I’m praying into some specific things of bringing Heaven to earth and how to partner with angels to come against principalities and darkness in my sphere of influence. I love getting to know more about the Courts of Heaven and legislating with God there to bring the government of God here in the earth realm.
Can you tell us about your involvement with your home Church?
I’m involved in an identity group at my church, on the prayer/prophetic team, and have had the honor of speaking there a few times.
