The assumption would be ministry right? But is it? Jesus did spend 3 years of his life in full-time ministry.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>However, those of Jesus\u2019 hometown downplayed him as Joseph the carpenter\u2019s son and almost no stories were recorded in those first 30 years making it pretty safe to say, Jesus did what other 1st century Jewish boys did\u2014he worked in his father\u2019s trade. Most days, Jesus was probably cutting stone, negotiating bids, and securing supplies.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In those early working years though, was he any less the image of the invisible God was he still the exact representation of the Father? Jesus once told his followers, \u201cWhatever the Father does, the Son also does\u201d (John 5:19) which allows us to presume he was led by the Father to work. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Jesus\u2019 life illustrates, it is not what you do that determines your Christlikeness, it&#8217;s why you are doing it.
